So, along with Viewpoint, the “newer” Aqua Midtown has condos up for auction. Aqua has not had good press lately as one resident was killed in her condo after she let a man posing as a potential buyer come in. NEVER DO THIS PEOPLE. Always have the concierge come with you if you are doing [...]

It may not be a shock to anyone that Viewpoint has decided to sell a “select” few one bedroom residences for under 190K. The 19 homes they are selling for under 190K are available from now until May 31, 2009…unless of course they don’t sell them all…I would think they would continue this promotion. But [...]

After meeting with Jon, who lives in the first phase of The Stacks, I decided to go see how they were fairing after the tornado ripped through this area of in-town Atlanta a long while back. Located in Cabbagetown, in the old cotton mill complex, The Stacks represent old meets new in every sense of [...]

The balconies…the balconies are huge and in some of the condos, run the length of the actual residence. I have never seen a high-rise with such awesome balconies. Nor have I been in an Atlanta high-rise with a view of Piedmont Park and a view of Peachtree street- all from one condo. But alas, I [...]

General William Tecumseh Sherman of the Union Army is probably best known as a great military strategist and the leader of Union troops who captured the city of Atlanta in 1864. He spoke words that, believe it or not, are somewhat relevant to this post about Midtown foreclosures.
“War is the remedy our enemies have chosen, [...]

We ended our tour last time at the Civic Center Station, because quite frankly, once you get to North Avenue on the North line of Marta, you are getting into the midst of condo and loft land. In fact, you are surrounded by places to live eat and work or Eat, Pray, Love. Did anyone [...]

I wanted to follow up on Ashley’s post from Tuesday about the Mandarin Oriental Hotel for two reasons. The first is in response to eveyone e-mailing me asking for pictures renderings. You’ll find satisfaction to all you desire at the bottom of this post. The second reason I wanted to follow up is because official [...]

I went to Luxe with my mom(who was in town) and a client on Saturday and even though it is not quite finished, I was still greatly impressed. We got to all wear hard hats (hot!) and looked at both one bedroom and two bedroom condos.
This 22 floor condominium is unlike others going up in [...]

I just came across this Douglas Sams article in the ABC regarding the rumor about the first 15 floors of the Bank of America Plaza going luxury hotel.
At Thursday morning’s Midtown Alliance meeting at Bank of America Plaza in Atlanta, BentleyForbes Group Inc. President and CEO David Cobb said he wanted to put all rumors [...]

The mixed-use development at the corner of 17th Street and Peachtree Road named 1400 Peachtree was supposed to be started in early 2008. But, the developers purchased a neighboring tract of land and have now announced that they are beginning the design phase of the new 1400 Peachtree.
This phase could take up to 16 months [...]
