Since Knox wrote about foreclosures in Midtown yesterday, I thought I would follow up with foreclosures in the Downtown Atlanta area. I think he is going to be writing on Buckhead foreclosures today as well. So our readers will have plenty to read about over the weekend! Knox also thinks we ought to do some [...]

We ended our tour last time at the Civic Center Station, because quite frankly, once you get to North Avenue on the North line of Marta, you are getting into the midst of condo and loft land. In fact, you are surrounded by places to live eat and work or Eat, Pray, Love. Did anyone [...]

Man, who are these people who can afford coming to Atlanta and staying or living at no other than a Mandarin Oriental Hotel property? Wow. I keep saying that we have got to lower prices for regular “Joe’s” (sorry could not help myself) to afford living in the city, and then this comes up! Looks [...]

It looks as though the prices of homes/condos in Atlanta will not drop as much as other places around the U.S. The forecast for 2009 keeps dropping, but Atlanta is one lucky city compared to Los Angeles and Miami. We drop a mere 2%compared to their 18%. Eesh.
Yet, I would still say to the developers [...]

If you don’t want to caught on 75/85 trying to get to some place in Atlanta (like the picture here), then I would suggest living in-town. I have been suggesting this on my last two installments of “close to Marta living,” and I am hitting downtown in this post. I must tell you though, that [...]

I decided to start my adventure in Decatur since I live close by and can walk to the Decatur Square /Marta Station (pictured here) from my home. Decatur has a small cool town feel (with really high taxes) and really good services. Not to mention, it is very close to all things Atlanta (5 miles [...]

The fact that I can’t fill up my Prius right now in Atlanta has me a slight bit worried. I have two bars left, and yes, that will get me close to 100 miles, but alas, I have decided to refuse to drive unless it is necessary. I drove from home to midtown today looking [...]

I could not get this picture on my post below and I liked it - so here is a picture of the whirlpool, salt water pool, and deck area (with doggy run/play area behind it-unusual for large condo) I love the reflection of 10 Terminus Place in the other Terminus building beside it…

We have all seen buildings being torn down and heard all the hoopla about the bars and shops being misplaced (or put out of business) for over a year now…all for the new Streets of Buckhead. Atlanta’s own Rodeo Drive is supposedly coming to Buckhead. Will it work? I just keep wondering [...]
