I thought I would post an article about condo sales from the AJC. It, of course, says what we have been thinking - that condo sales are way down, but it is an interesting article and discusses the fact that maybe, just maybe, if these developers continue to slow down the influx of new condos, [...]

Has the condo/loft market gone ka-plunk in Atlanta in the last few months? I have to say - kinda, sorta, yes. We all knew it may happen after Atlanta got a gluttonous amount of massive condos put on the market last year. Many new high rises have fallen way way way short of being “100% [...]

We’re going to talk, today, about condos and lofts in places like Peachtree Orleans, Park Regency, Ovation, and Realm. Do you know what that means boys and girls? We’re talking about foreclosures in Buckhead.
What used to be called Irbyville (see attached photo) and used as a stopping point for wealthy travelers in the early 1800’s [...]

Since Knox wrote about foreclosures in Midtown yesterday, I thought I would follow up with foreclosures in the Downtown Atlanta area. I think he is going to be writing on Buckhead foreclosures today as well. So our readers will have plenty to read about over the weekend! Knox also thinks we ought to do some [...]

General William Tecumseh Sherman of the Union Army is probably best known as a great military strategist and the leader of Union troops who captured the city of Atlanta in 1864. He spoke words that, believe it or not, are somewhat relevant to this post about Midtown foreclosures.
“War is the remedy our enemies have chosen, [...]

I am not sure how many entire condo developments actually go under before even opening, but alas, Atlanta has one. Central City Condos was foreclosed upon before the developers could make a cent on it, and now you can get a deal if you are interested in living smack dab in-town on Ralph McGill [...]

Decatur, a little city that is hopping distance to downtown Atlanta (15-20 minutes on surface streets) includes a community/neighborhood called Oakhurst. Oakhurst has fabulous schools, great trees, walking streets, and a wonderful neighborhood feel. You don’t see many townhomes in Oakurst, but I know of some called Oakhurst Commons (and they have [...]

When I say downtown this time, I mean very close to Phillips Arena, the Georgia World Congress, the Georgia Aquarium, and the new World of Coke Museum. The list of foreclosures in this area (zipcode 30313) include a few condos in the fairly new (completed in late 2003) Centennial Park West on none [...]
