Element Up On Auction Block

element

Back in the day, Element at Atlantic Station was where people wanted to be.  But in today’s market, Element is having a tough time.  In fact, 40 units will be auctioned off on February 28th at the W Downtown.  It is unfortunate that this situation may become the norm for many larger developments out there.  Element has 322 residences and had pretty much all of them under contract before they even opened in late 2006  But, as we have seen..things happen.

With the number of empty condo residences pushing above 6,000, I am guessing this will happen more.  The auction on February 28th for Element will sell homes at nearly 50% below the original listing price. Wow.  So, go and get yourself a condo that appraised at around 200K for 95K.  If you need any more information, let me know.

Do you know how the bidding funds will be handled? Do you have to have cash on hand at time of bidding?

If the value of these condos have dropped drastically, why is the asking rent so high?

According to this craigslist post, the asking monthly rent is $1250. Wow!!
