Rescuing Pups
Posted by Ashley Derrick on 01/19/09 in Information
It is true that rescuing dogs has nothing to do with selling lofts, but indeed it is what I do on the side. That’s right, I rescue dogs and cats from horrid situations here in Atlanta.
I rescued three pups the other day in an old junkyard in Castleberry Hills (and there are lots of lofts there so that kinda makes this a worthy post!) Anyway, the pups are 8 weeks old, had no shelter, and were living in squalor. I got them before it went down to 15 degrees thanks goodness.
I have adopted one out, but two are still in need of a loving home. They have had their first shots, are being potty trained as I type this, and are the most lovable cuddly little things. So, if you have thought about getting a rescue dog, please let me know. The brown one is a little girl and the little lion looking one is a boy!
*There is a very small adoption fee of $50.00 for vet bills, bath, and vet stay.

I already have plenty dogs now and personally don’t think I can deal with another but I’ve had a dog in the past that looked like the 1st photo, a Chow/Rottweiler mix and she had more energy than I could ever come up with.
I’d surely like to know about the pups you rescue on a frequent basis though. If the right one comes up I’ll surely be interested.

I’m sorry we didn’t list with you Ashley. We have a loft we’re trying to sell, yeah don’t ask :), and we would have listed with you in two seconds due to this wonderful story. It’s people like you who make me glad to call myself human and reaffirm my faith in society.
