My New Favorite Old Lofts
Posted by Ashley Derrick on 01/19/09 in Atlanta Real Estate, Loft Conversion, Poncey Highlands Real Estate

I have visited a lot of lofts in the Inman Park, Poncey Highland, Freedom trail area lately and my new favorite lofts are the fabulous NuGrape Lofts.
Built in 1937, this building once housed Atlanta’s own NuGrape Soda Company. In fact, the national headquarters was housed in the building and syrup for the soda was made here and stored in 50 gallon oak barrels. To read more about the history of this building, visit the National Register for Historic Places. The building has a great past.
Moving on, the building was converted to apartments / lofts in the 1990’s and each of the 21 lofts are all different and all have their own personality. Originally there were 22, but two were combined to form one massive one….that is actually for sale right now for over 500K. ) I have been in two that Jo Gipson has for sale and they are both grand. One has fabulous looking red lockers that separates the bedroom from the den area and the other has a gorgeous bedroom and bathroom on the upper level with a closet that used to be an old vault…both very sexy in their own ways.
There are only 3 for sale right now - one in the low 200K range, one in the high 200K range and then the big one for 500K-ish…Let me know if you would like to take a look at any of them!
