We’re going to talk, today, about condos and lofts in places like Peachtree Orleans, Park Regency, Ovation, and Realm. Do you know what that means boys and girls? We’re talking about foreclosures in Buckhead.

What used to be called Irbyville (see attached photo) and used as a stopping point for wealthy travelers in the early 1800’s is now home for luxury real estate and posh shopping. Buckhead touches the zip codes of 30305, 30318, 30319, 30324, 30326, 30327, and 30342, but today I’m going to focus most of my attention on the areas on and around Peachtree Road, north of Piedmont Hospital all the way up to Lenox Square Mall and Phipps Plaza.

There are 62 foreclosed condo or loft units in Buckhead, according to FLMS. They range in price from$84,900 all the way up to $1,2500,000.

The “big daddy” $1.2 million dollar foreclosure is in Park Regency.  It’s a corner unit on the top floor (yes it’s a penthouse unit) and the $1.2 million price tag isn’t such a great deal as it’s more than thelast sales price back in 2002. Bargain hunters should stay away from this listing.

There are six units in Realm currently in foreclosure or about to be foreclosed upon (read: short sale opportunities). They range in price from a one bedroom / one bathroom unit on the 21st floor for $169,900 to a penthouse unit with two bedrooms and two bathrooms for $599,000with some amazing views of Midtown and downtown.

There are two units under foreclosure in Ovation. They are both one bedroom and one bathroom units. The seventh floor unit is listed at $159,900 and the 13th floor unti is listed at $197,900.

There are two units in The Phoenix on Peachtree that are available. One is a ninth floor foreclosure with three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. It’s listed at $575,000. The other is a two bedroom and two bathroom short sale opportunity on the 9th floor listed at $280,000, which is over $100,000 less than it was purchased for back in 2001.
