Mandarin Oriental Hotel In Midtown
Posted by Knox Bardeen on 11/13/08 in Midtown Real Estate, Mixed Use Development, New Construction
I wanted to follow up on Ashley’s post from Tuesday about the Mandarin Oriental Hotel for two reasons. The first is in response to eveyone e-mailing me asking for pictures renderings. You’ll find satisfaction to all you desire at the bottom of this post. The second reason I wanted to follow up is because official details came out today about the project.
The Madarin Oriental Hotel project will cost nearly $285 million and is rising 53 stories above Midtown at 1138 Peachtree, right near 12th & Midtown. There will be 198 luxury hotel rooms and 71 condos. The price tag on these condos is said to be anywhere between $1.8 million and $15 million. This project will be mixed use as there will be four restaurants and bars included.
The build out phase should take 30 months to complete, but won’t be started until a set number (this figure wasn’t disclosed) units have been pre-sold. At this point, 19 units are already pre-sold.
When this project is completed, I do believe that it will be the highest building in Midtown.
And now for your rendering…
