Luxe Overlooking Piedmont Park and The City

I went to Luxe with my mom(who was in town) and a client on Saturday and even though it is not quite finished, I was still greatly impressed. We got to all wear hard hats (hot!) and looked at both one bedroom and two bedroom condos.
This 22 floor condominium is unlike others going up in the city at the moment. First of all, it actually looks different and it is not as tall as some of the other new condos in-town. This, though, does not mean it is not as (if not more) striking. There is nothing over the top when you walk in this building, and there are no flat screen tv’s in each elevator entry way - therefore implying that residents who live here may not want 24/7 media blasts. The colors are warm and inviting but not bold and the lobby/concierge area is very large.
Each floor has only 8 residences and that makes for large bedrooms - certainly much larger than other places I have been recently. There are 89 two bedroom condos, 28 one bedroom condos and 8 three bedroom condos. This in itself makes it different considering some of the larger condos in town have a far greater number of one bedroom residences than 2 bedroom residences. The patios are huge and the floor to ceiling windows make for amazing views - whether you are looking out over Piedmont Park, Downtown, or Midtown. You are not truly in the “center of it all” on Peachtree - but to me, that is what makes it so special. You are just a couple of blocks away from Peachtree where you can have it all, but you are far enough away to see some trees.
The amenity level is huge with a remarkably large work out facility and a great pool. There is of course the club room - which should be named something snottier than that - like the “private discotheque.” It looks like it will be just grand. There will be shops etc…on the ground level and there is plenty of parking in the building for you and your guests.
The kicker is that the average price is around $565,000 yet, the one bedrooms do start at 249K and the two bedrooms start at around 390K. Let me be clear though - if you are looking for something slightly off the beaten track without exposed concrete, with gas Bosch ovens and appliances, huge bedrooms, and all the bells and whistles without the tv’s everywhere you look, then Luxe is the place for you.
