The Sky Is Falling!

The fact that I can’t fill up my Prius right now in Atlanta has me a slight bit worried. I have two bars left, and yes, that will get me close to 100 miles, but alas, I have decided to refuse to drive unless it is necessary. I drove from home to midtown today looking for gas, and this picture pretty much sums up my adventure.
So, tomorrow starts my quest on Marta (which I spoke about months ago) to find condos/town-homes, etc… close to the actual Marta stations. I am starting in Decatur at 9am in the morning. I’ll update you tomorrow evening!

I ran into the same thing this weekend and while this will soon pass, it does emphasize the frailty of our systems. After 3 - 5 days without gas we can be certain commercial trucking would begin having the same difficulty which would result in food not making it to our stores. The dominoes would continue to fall from there.. a frightening scenario. sure, you could make it to work on MARTA but if there’s no food or gas to buy with the money you make… it’s worthless.

Very very true. But I figure I would start somewhere. Our “systems” don’t seem to think about long term.

Funny, I hear of all these shortages, but I live in Tucker and ALL gas stations have gas. Infact, if you go to the interstate, they have PLENTLY of gas.
