It Smart to Ride Marta!

Because gas prices are continuously going up and it looks like we will be paying more and more to fill up the tank in the coming years, I figured it is time to actually start writing seriously about Marta and how it can be of value to those of us living in town. So, for the next few weeks, I will be posting as many lofts and condos as I can find that are walking distance to Marta. I plan on starting with the North/South line and then going from there. I’ll probably work my way from the airport up. I will also stay in the perimeter, so sorry to the folks out in Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, and North Springs. If you have suggestions of places I should hit, please comment and let me know.
I am looking forward to traveling Marta and taking a tour by foot from each stop. Hopefully, I will come up with a few “Where Am I’s” in the process.

Ashley:
I suggest an update on Village Place Brookhaven (off the Brookhaven/Oglethorpe stop) and anything condo-related going into the Sembler project up P’tree (which would be about a 15 min walk from the station.
I have also read about some longer term plans to perhaps develop the parking lot at the B’haven MARTA station into a “town center” type development - if you could dig up any further information on those discussion, that would be interesting to read about. Cheers!

Be sure to check out downtown East Point across Main Street from the E.P. Marta station. The blocks around Oz Pizza have a handful of loft conversions.
