What are Short Sales?

Lately, I have noticed a lot more “short sales” happening in the condo/housing market in Atlanta, and wanted to learn more about them, so I started doing a lot of research. I have found a couple of good articles for buyers about short sales and the pros and cons that can occur with one. Instead of me rambling on about a short sale, take a look at the two articles I found - and do your research before you buy a short sale property!

    Short sales can be a real PAIN. Working on one since Feb 12. Buyer is approved and cleared to close at any time. Lender (Countrywide) can’t seem to move off dead-center to let the mortgagor, me, or the buyer know when that might happen! In the meantime, my buyer’s lease clock is ticking away.
