Plan Your Walking Biking Or MARTA Trips Throughout Atlanta At A-Train

Neither rain, nor sleet… Wait, what am I talking about? It’s 75 degrees and sunny outside. And since it’s so nice, why don’t you take a stroll through Piedmont Park before you hop on MARTA and head to that business meeting? Worried about timing? How long will it take? Worry no longer!!!

The Citizens for Progressive Transit have developed a trip planner called A-Train. It’s going to assist walkers, cyclists and users of public transportation plan their trips around Atlanta. You just select your start and finish locations by address or by clicking on a map, tell the site what time of day you’re going to be traveling, and presto… you get detailed instructions and time lines.

I have never been to Atlanta, but from what I have been told I need to make my way down there. This is what Michigan needs to implement.

Definitely some forward thinking involved here. It’ll be interesting to see if it actually works out.

Google maps also does this. Worth a try for those trying to ditch the car.
