Mixed Use Development Planned Near Proposed Beltline South Of Grant Park

Local developer, Flow Metro, has two parcels of land under contract on Englewood, just west of Boulevard with a northern border which runs right along the proposed Beltline. This 10 acre piece of land is currently occupied by out-dated industrial buildings.

Flow Metro is asking to rezone this land from Industrial to Mixed Use so they can construct 600 condos and/or apartments and 15,000 square feet of retail. The proximity to Grant Park and Ormewood Park make this an attractive project for many involved.

Good for them. We need more developers to rid the city of all the vacant buildings. The city should provide more incentives like the one given to Atlantic Station to spur growth in undeveloped areas. Just my two cents.
