Hard Rock Hotel Planned Near Georgia Aquarium

Last week, Hard Rock International announced that it was teaming up with Luckie Street Hotel Partners to build a 270 room Hard Rock Hotel in downtown Atlanta near the Georgia Aquarium. Also included in the hotel will be 30 luxury residences and retail and entertainment space on the 2.5 acre build site.

Here are a few more details:

  • A spa and fitness center will be included in this project
  • A new recording studio called “Glory Days Studio” will be built in the development
  • A museum of music could also be included
  • Construction could start as early as mid 2008 with completion slated for 2010.

    Knox,
I always enjoy your posts on the local restaurants, retail and hotels. There are only so many articles that I can read about the housing market, real estate commissions, and web 2.0. You always deliver something I can use myself. I look forward to being able to take out-of-town friends and relatives to the new Hard Rock.

In my humble opinion, a Hard Rock Hotel doesn’t have the same appeal unless there is a casino on the lobby level…otherwise I can settle for the rock and roll experience in a mediocre overpriced burger.

Brad, thanks for posting that comment. Knox and I will both try harder to put different things in here - he does a lot better than I do! Maybe we can start talking more about restaurants, retail, etc that are a part of the existing condos - thanks again - Ashley
