Reading Other Atlanta Blogs: I Saw It On Ponce
Posted by Knox Bardeen on 09/27/07 in Atlanta Blogs
When I first think of the word blogging I think about writing. I write (blog) about the Atlanta real estate market, specifically lofts and condos, ITP. However, if I really look at blogging it’s more than just writing, it’s reading other blogs as well. In fact, when it comes to blogging, I do much more reading than writing.
That being said, I wanted to share with you all some of the other blogs that I have discovered recently. I’ve, lately, been on a kick of reading blogs based in and focused on Atlanta. These aren’t real estate blogs per se, but they share some of the culture, music, humor and feelings about life in Atlanta, and some of its distinctive neighborhoods. So, over the next few days I will introduce you to one Atlanta based blog every day. I have selected a half dozen to 10 or so already, and I’ll present them in no particular order. So here goes…
Ponce de Leon Avenue is a major intown artery. It runs from Stone Mountain, all the way through Decatur, Druid Hills, Virginia Highland, and Midtown before ending just before the downtown connector, I-75/85. Ponce is rich with history, development and its fair share of eccentricity. Capturing all of this is the blog I Saw It On Ponce. Their tagline says it all;
Dedicated to all of the unbelievable sights that can only be witnessed along historic Ponce De Leon Avenue in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia
I love that you can take a “virtual ride down Ponce” and some of my favorite photo posts are:
- You Can Take It With You - Who knows what this guy was doing, but the hooker idea was hilarious
- Random… - Oh my good lord. I can’t look away.
- Breakfast of Champions - Sharing the sentiment that The Majestic rocks!!!
Go check out I Saw It On Ponce. You will not be sorry.
