We’ve been getting a lot of traffic to the blog about the W Hotel at Allen Plaza. The project is progressing nicely, and along with the rendering above, I thought I would list some fun facts.

• The W Hotel will stand 28 stories high when completed.
• It should be completed in 2008.
• It will consist of 237 hotel rooms.
• It will also have 76 condos.
• The W Hotel is the first high rise hotel to go up in Downtown Atlanta since the 1970’s.
• It will also be the first Atlanta hotel to feature a helicopter pad on the roof.
• Although it wasn’t functioning for me today, there is a webcam set up to view construction progress at Allen Plaza.
