Not two seconds after I posted the information about construction beginning on The Streets of Buckhead, did I find some information about one of the luxury hotels that will be a part of the project. And it surprises and makes me happy that this news continues a trend on this blog of “green building”.

It turns out that one of the hotels will be a “green hotel”. Barry Hotel Partners is partnering to develop 1 Hotel & Residences, a 175 room luxury hotel with 100 condo units a spa and a restaurant within. They’ll start this portion of The Streets of Buckhead sometime in 2008 with a completion date set at 2010.
