ViewPoint Comes to Midtown

The ViewPoint condos are currently under construction in Midtown on Peachtree St between 6th and 7th streets (This is right around the Midtown Peachtree Starbucks and McCray’s). The building will contain 385 condos and 30,000 square feet of retail. The first phase is slated for completion in 2009.

The midtown area has seen considerable development along the Peachtree corridor since 2001 when Metropolis was converted. The addition of ground level retail and streetscape improvements, including widening sidewalks has improved the livability and vibrancy of the neighborhood. The planned Peachtree Streetcar will serve this area and developers hope to make this section of Peachtree St. a high end living, shopping, and tourist area in the future. Based on the current progress, it looks like they are on the path to success.

    The stats are a bit different now as construction nears completion. A 2nd quarter of 2008 finish date is expected and the retail space is 50,000 square feet, not 30,000.
