As the two sides (Mayor Franklin & Wayne Mason) exchanged blows nothing much was really settled. Mayor Franklin seems to think that The Beltline can proceed without Mason’s 5 mile stretch. Wayne Mason thinks otherwise.

Wayne Mason, the Gwinnett County developer who owns a 5 mile stretch of the proposed 22 mile loop known as The Beltline, has dropped out of the project and is unsure how he’ll use his 70 acres of land.

Construction on the new Target store that was announced last year for , Atlantic Station has begun. Expect this 150,000 square foot to be ready for shopping in March of 2007.

The Fifth Annual Castleberry Hill Loft Tour is right around the corner. The event will be held Saturday and Sunday October 7th & 8th. Last year’s tour was attended by more than 3,000 people to view eight official tour lofts and stroll the art galleries, shops and restaurants located in the growing historic neighborhood.
