Edgewood Retail District Lofts

The Edgewood Retail District is a new shopping complex in in-town Atlanta on the former site of an Atlanta Gas Light complex. While technically in Edgewood, the complex which is just south of Little Five Points on Moreland Avenue is roughly at the juncture of four neighborhoods: Edgewood, Reynoldstown, Inman Park, and Candler Park. While boasting such large stores as Best Buy, Lowe’s, Target, Barnes and Noble, and Kroger, the development embraces new urbanism so that the site feels less like a suburban big box shopping center and more part of a neighborhood.
Part of the new urbanism approach is to mix the retail and restaurants with living spaces - in this case lofts! The site offers two different loft developments. The Caroline Street Lofts are above the retail and restaurants on Caroline Street and Moreland Ave, and the Shoe Factory Lofts are set at the back of the development between Lowe’s and Target in their own building. Both of these loft projects will be ready for move in summer 2006. Contact us and we will keep you up to date, and let you know when you can go for a tour.
